Hello Everyone,

I am very sorry I have not posted for a few weeks. I have been visiting with family. But anyway, in response to one of my readers, I will be reviewing a fax-to-email service today, called MyFax.

To start off, I would like to say that this software is phenomenal! It is just like using Outlook Express in Windows XPWindows XP. The User Interface is very simple and easy to use, and that is one of my favorite parts about any computer program out there.

MyFax works with a wide range of web browsers including Netscape, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Internet Explorer. It also works with many different email services, such as Google’s GMail, Yahoo!’s Yahoo! Mail, and Microsoft Network Hotmail.

With MyFax, you can send many different faxed documents to up to nine of your friends, family, or anybody else that you are close to or love. There are also many innovative features to protect your account, which include password protection and reporting.

MyFax will let you send up to 100 and receive up to 200 faxes before MyFax will start charging you more. I personally think that’s a pretty good deal!

All in all, MyFax is a revolutionary and innovative fax-to-email service, that makes you feel like you’re sending just another email.

The Best External Webcam Out There

This best external webcam that I speak of is the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000. As usual, this webcam is a Logitech, because personally, I think that Logitech webcams get the best picture. I have a Logitech webcam on my PC. It gets an exceptional picture, and it’s not even a QuickCam Pro. The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 has a very high-resolution 2 megapixel camera, 1600×1200 pixels at the highest resolution, to be exact. This amazing webcam works with almost all video-chat services, including AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, and my favorite, Skype. Skype takes advantage of the exceptional video quality of your webcam, and then makes your picture even better as you video-chat with your friends and family.

The software that is included with the webcam is also very easy to use. Logitech does not bundle and video-chat software, but as I said before, it works with all major video-chatting clients, including my favorite, Skype.

All in all, the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 is probably the best webcam out there. It has exceptional video quality, and it very easy to use.

Leaked Pics From the new Dell Laptops (and a Dell 1525 review)

I was reading on Engadget that Dell’s new Inspiron lineup, scheduled for release in June and October, has been leaked-along with some great pics! Man, I love this new design for Dell. It almost looks a little like the Sony Vaio or even a little MacBooky. My dad is going to probably be a little ticked off to learn that his 1720-which he bought in November-has been updated to a new line of hot, sexy laptops! The design of these things just makes me want to go to Dell’s site and buy them right now. Take a peek, and see if you agree with my opinions. Click here to look at the pictures.

Anyway, here’s the review for the Dell Inspiron 1525. Dell listened to customer’s complaints about the 1520, and improved the laptop line with the 1525. The 1525 has a 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 3 GB of memory, a 250 GB HDD, Wimdows Vista Home Premium, and coolest of all, an integrated 2 megapixel webcam, to video-chat with your friends and family.

The 1525 is a very nice laptop. It is affordable, has many features, and is basically what everyone wants in a laptop.

HP Pavillion tx1420us

I can tell HP’s trying to get compliments for design, and I think that they’ve just earned one right here. The HP Pavillion tx1420us has a great design, great weight, and amazing specifications. It is a tablet notebook, so you can use handwriting recognition to convert to text. The battery life is so-so, because you only get 2-3 hours. And, if you have it in tablet mode, the battery might get hot.

The HP Pavillion tx1420us also has many innovative features. It has a pretty high resolution for the size of the 12.1″ screen it has, which is 1280 pixels by 400 pixels. It has an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, which is just AMD’s counterpart to the Intel Core 2 Duo central processing unit. The tx1420us also has 3 GB of memory to run its Wimdows Vista Home Premium Operating System. Vist is a memory hog, but 3 gigs should be plenty to run Vista well. If you don’t think 3 gigs is enough, you can upgrade it to 4 gigs. The HP Pavillion tx1420us also has a 250 GB Hard Disk Drive, which should be plenty for most people.

All in all, if you want a feature-filled stylish PC, this one might be perfect for you.

Touch-screen BlackBerry? (and a BlackBerry Curve review)

I was reading on Crave about rumors of a new BlackBerry. This BlackBerry, expected to arrive in the third quarter of this year, is apparently dubbed the “Thunder”. It is most likely a response to Apple’s iPhone, which arrived last June. Since then, Apple has sold a few million iPhones and has taken 2nd place in the smartphone industry, after RIM, the creators of the BlackBerry. It’s about time that RIM made a touch-screen phone, because that navigation wheel on all of the other BlackBerry’s drives me nuts sometimes, when I just want to touch the dang screen! I mean, they put so much work into producing that big, generous screen, and we can’t even touch it. Good choice RIM, good choice.

Now, here’s the review for the BlackBerry Curve. The BlackBerry Curve has many innovative features that are integrated into its amazing design. If you sign up for this amazing phone with AT&T, you get a very stylish titanium casing. The keyboard is somewhat easy to touch type on, but the individual keys are not as roomy as the new BlackBerry Bold. The amazing features of the Curve include a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth support, so you can get a Bluetooth handset to hook up to it.

Another Awesome Laptop

Sorry about not writing a post in awhile. I’ve been busy and my internet has been down.

This laptop that I speak of is the Dell XPS M1330, and it is designed to be eyed by people at the coffee shop. Dell finally listened and ‘put design first’ as Matthew Elliot from Cnet said. The M1330 has Windows Vista Home Premium, Microsoft Works, an Intel Centrino Duo CPU running at 2 GHz, and. 2 GB of RAM (you can upgrade the RAM up to 4 GB). It also has a 5400 RPM 160 GB Hard Disk Drive, 2 Hi-Speed USB ports, a SD card slot, a webcam, and best of all, it only weighs 4 pounds.

As I said before, this laptop is definitely guaranteed to turn heads at a place like the coffee shop or even the airport. Dell incorporated design and very good specifications the M1330, something that Apple does a lot. I really like that the RAM is expandable to 4 GB, because my Acer Aspire 5100 only supports up to 2 GB of RAM. The more RAM you have, the better Vista will run. I do wish the Hard Disk Drive was a bit bigger, but 160 GB will be plenty for most people.

Overall, if you want a cool, hot-looking PC laptop, this is probably perfect for you!

A Converter Box-The Zenith DTT900

If you pull an analog signal out of the air, you might have heard that you’re going to need to get one of those Digital TV Converter Boxes, which you can sign up for the coupon here. I’m going to review one of those DTV converter boxes-the Zenith DTT900. First of all, I love the way this converter box looks. Again, I’m attracted to shiny stuff like a magnet! To buy this stylish box, it will cost you only about $70, and $30 with the coupon.

To start receiving digital broadcasts, all you have to do is hook up your old analog antenna to the Zenith DTT900, and plug it into the TV. The box will do a channel scan, which scans all of the available channels in your area. I heard on HDTVexpert that it is the fastest channel-scan on all converter boxes. So, if you have a really busy schedule (or you just really want to watch perfect broadcasting) the box will do the channel scan really fast, so you can do more watching instead of waiting.

This box is great for parents who’s kids are begging for a TV, but they do not want to hire the cable guy to come. You will recieve almost-better-than-cable broadcasts, and if you were watching analog TV, there won’t be any random snow appearing as you watch.

Blu-Ray Disc Xbox 360?

First of all, I’m sorry I didn’t get a post done yesterday. I was pretty busy! Anyway, you might have heard about the death of the HD DVD format a few months ago. Before HD DVD went to DVD heaven, you were able to get an HD DVD player to hook up to your Xbox 360. Now that HD DVD is dead…what it Microsoft going to do now that their beloved HD format that’s dead? Easy. Make a Blu-Ray disc player to hook up to an Xbox. But, Microsoft always gets so attached to certain technologies, and it’s hard for them to adjust to the winning one. To make a long story short, Microsoft doesn’t know when to give up. Their Zune MP3 Player may be better than the iPod, but everybody likes to “coolness” of the iPod, rather than the more features of the Zune. If in the next year or two the Zune doesn’t sell too well, I think Microsoft should just throw in the towel. Anyway, by all means, JUST MAKE A DANG BLU-RAY PLAYER FOR THE XBOX, MICROSOFT!

How about a review for the Xbox 360? The Xbox 360 is a very stlish cool system, that has great graphics if you are playing car racing games, like Gran Trismo. Though it doesn’t stand up to the PS3 in games like Madden and NBA, it is a lower cost alternative to the PS3. Since I have a PS2 at home, it took some getting used to the controller. All in all, the Xbox is a great game system.

A “Creative” Creative Zen

This MP3 Player is definitely one of my favorites, because it’s just about perfect. The Creative Zen MP3 Player has a 16 GB SSD, a lot of space, but not as much as it’s predecessor. But, if you don’t think that’s enough space, there’s an SD card slot, so you can insert an SD card with more space to store your music, videos, photos, etc. This player also includes an FM tuner and a voice recorder, like the previous player I reviewed, the SanDisk Sansa Fuze.

But, one of the things I like best about the Zen is that it looks amazing! It does have plastic casing, but Creative Labs made it shiny (I’m one of those guys who is attracted to shiny stuff like a magnet). The price is not that bad either, the player being at only $119 for 8GB of space for music, videos, and pictures, and a screen that takes up almost 2/3 of the player.

To conclude this post, the new Creative Zen is a very good MP3 Player. It has many intuitive features at a very good, affordable price. It would be a great birthday or Christmas present for your friends and family. Out of 5 stars, I rate the Creative Zen 5/5.

An Alternative to the iPod

This ‘alternative’ to the iPod that I speak of is the SanDisk Sansa Fuze. Though the Fuze doesn’t have the hot styling of the iPod, it does have more bang for your buck. You get a 4 or 8 GB of space for your music, which is pretty big for a $99 MP3 Player. The Fuze even has an integrated voice recorder, so you can record personal messages, and the Fuze will replay them whenever you please. Cnet thought that the Fuze had a pretty simple interface, and we think so, too. The Fuze also has a device on it that rivals the iPod’s ‘click wheel’. It works much like it, only it physically moves along with you, unlike the ‘click wheel’. What I like best is that the Fuze has a built in FM tuner, sort of like the Zune, but (like I said earlier in the post) on a much lower price tag. I listen to the radio quite a bit in the car, and in my room, but if I’m at the airport, I’d be able to pull out my Fuze and start listening to the radio.

If you are eying the iPod, this would be a great, cheaper alternative!
